This 2.5-day course covers the various methods of conducting a training needs assessment to develop a training programme that addresses the performance gaps for different levels of staff (i.e. rank and file to managerial). It also highlights the parameters of drafting a comprehensive training plan, as well as the guidelines and steps to evaluating the programme for enhanced effectiveness.

With a comprehensive training programme in place, your staff’s productivity and efficiency can reach greater heights.

 

Duration

21.5 hours (Classroom Training – 20 hours, Assessment – 1.5 hours)

Modules

Through our experiential classroom training, learners will learn how to:

  • Conduct training needs assessment
  • Develop training plan
  • Implement training plan
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training plan

Mode of Assessment

At the end of the course, learners are required to complete a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes of assessment, comprising a written assignment, oral presentation and interview for written assignment, and oral questioning.

Entry Requirement

  • Learners must have a minimum pass in English (C6) for GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate and above or its equivalent (i.e. WSQ Work Place Literacy and Numeracy Skills Level 5).
  • For learners who do not meet the minimum requirements, an oral interview would be conducted to determine suitability for the course

UTAP Funding:
Limits and Claim Process:

  • For NTUC Union Members, UTAP funding is limited to $250 for members aged 39 and below and $500 for those aged 40 and above. The UTAP claim amount is initially paid to the training provider, and after the completion of the class, the learner can claim it back through the NTUC website using the provided invoice.
