Course Overview:
The “Perform Formwork Activities” course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to perform formwork activities

Course Objectives:

• State the applicable legal and other requirements for formwork and working- at-height
• List the roles of a worker in formwork installation, alteration and dismantling
• State the types of formwork used in the industry
• Apply basic risk assessment for formwork activities
• Identify hazards associated with formwork activities
• Observe safety and health measures for formwork activities
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for formwork activities and Working-At-Height

Course Duration:
7 hours (Facilitated Learning (Theory) – 6 hours, Assessment – 1 hour)

Course Fees: $100

Mode of Instruction:
Lectures, discussions, case studies, problem- based learning, videos, e- learning resources, demonstrations, practice, modelling, sharing

Mode of Delivery: Full-time

Mode of Assessment:
At the end of the module, learners are required to complete a total of 1 hour of assessment, comprising a written assessment.

Attendance Requirement:
100% for classroom and assessment sessions

Passing Criteria:
Learners must be deemed ‘C’ Competent in all the assessment components to pass.

Qualification:
Upon successful completion of course and assessment, learners will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Who Should Attend:
The “Perform Formwork Activities” is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers performing formwork activities works in construction sites and related industries.

SkillsFuture Credit Funding:

• Offset Payment Amount
• Singaporeans only >= 25 years

Do note that the training grants disbursement criteria for Self-Sponsored learners are;

• Trainee has not obtained course fee fundings previously (same course title/course reference code/skills code)
• Course fees have been fully paid by trainees themselves;
• Trainee met 75% attendance requirement; and
• Trainee passed assessments (where applicable)

Please note that there is employer-employee relationship and CPF contribution for employer-sponsored trainees. Should grant disbursement be rejected due to wrong company/UEN provided to Avanta, company is liable to pay the full course fees without grant.

Note: Absentee Payroll Funding: W.E.F. 1 Jan 2022, AP hourly rate will be standardised at $4.50 per hour and Enterprise-level AP funding will be capped at $100,000 per calendar year. All T&Cs apply.
