Course Overview:
The “Perform Formwork Activities” course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to perform formwork activities
Course Objectives:
- State the applicable legal and other requirements for formwork and working- at-height
- List the roles of a worker in formwork installation, alteration and dismantling
- State the types of formwork used in the industry
- Apply basic risk assessment for formwork activities
- Identify hazards associated with formwork activities
- Observe safety and health measures for formwork activities
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for formwork activities and Working-At-Height

7 hours (Facilitated Learning (Theory) – 6 hours, Assessment – 1 hour)

Mode of Assessment:
At the end of the module, learners are required to complete a total of 1 hour of assessment, comprising a written assessment.
Attendance Requirement:
100% for classroom and assessment sessions
Passing Criteria:
Learners must be deemed ‘C’ Competent in all the assessment components to pass.
Qualification:
Upon successful completion of course and assessment, learners will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
Who Should Attend:
The “Perform Formwork Activities” is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers performing formwork activities works in construction sites and related industries.

Entry Requirement
- Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 3 and above.
- Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level 3 and above.
