Course Overview:
This Competency Unit specifies the knowledge skills and attitudes required of a Building Construction Supervisor to oversee or supervise any work or process carried out in a worksite safely and without any risk to health.
Course Objectives:
The purpose of this Competency Unit is to enable the WSH Coordinator or Supervisor to acquire the knowledge and be equipped with the application skills to supervise construction work for workplace safety and health. This Competency Unit is designed to focus on building the competency of the WSH Coordinator or Supervisor in identifying the common hazards and risks in the workplace and taking appropriate control measures in supervising WSH in the construction industry.

Course Duration:
32 hours (28 training hours + 4 hours of summative assessment)

Mode of Assessment:
At the end of the module, learners are required to complete a total of 4 hours of a summative assessment. (Individual Project Assignment, Role Play, Case Study, Oral Question Interview, Written Test Practical Performance)
Attendance Requirement:
75% for classroom and 100% assessment sessions
Passing Criteria:
Learners must be deemed ‘C’ Competent in all the assessment components to pass.
Qualification:
Upon successful completion of course and assessment, learners will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
Who Should Attend:
This unit will be relevant to Construction Site Supervisor, Clerk-of-work, Foreman, Site engineer, WSH Coordinator, WSH Supervisor or individuals who undertake the role of a supervisor in the construction industry.

- Possess Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 and above, or equivalent
