Course Overview:
The “Perform Formwork Activities” course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to perform formwork activities

Course Objectives:

State the applicable legal and other requirements for formwork and working- at-height
List the roles of a worker in formwork installation, alteration and dismantling
State the types of formwork used in the industry
Apply basic risk assessment for formwork activities
Identify hazards associated with formwork activities
Observe safety and health measures for formwork activities
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for formwork activities and Working-At-Height

Course Duration:
7 hours (Facilitated Learning (Theory) – 6 hours, Assessment – 1 hour)

Course Fees: $100

Mode of Instruction:
Lectures, discussions, case studies, problem- based learning, videos, e- learning resources, demonstrations, practice, modelling, sharing

Mode of Delivery: Full-time

Mode of Assessment:
At the end of the module, learners are required to complete a total of 1 hour of assessment, comprising a written assessment.

Attendance Requirement:
100% for classroom and assessment sessions

Passing Criteria:
Learners must be deemed ‘C’ Competent in all the assessment components to pass.

Qualification:
Upon successful completion of course and assessment, learners will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Who Should Attend:
The “Perform Formwork Activities” is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers performing formwork activities works in construction sites and related industries.

Trainer Learner ratio: 1: 40 (class room)

CLAIM WITH UTAP SUPPORT : Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP): UTAP is a training benefit provided to NTUC Union Members with the objective of encouraging them to upgrade with skills training by minimizing training costs. If you are an NTUC Union Member, you can get 50% funding (capped at $500 per year) under the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP). For more information about UTAP, please visit this link.UTAP funding for NTUC Union Members is capped at $250 for 39 years and below and at $500 for 40 years and above.
UTAP support amount to be paid to training provider first and claimed after end of class by learner.

- Offset Payment Amount
- Singaporeans only >= 25 years
All terms and conditions apply and funding is subjected to SSG’s final approval.
Do note that the training grants disbursement criteria for Self-Sponsored learners are;
- Trainee has not obtained course fee fundings previously (same course title/course reference code/skills code)
- Course fees have been fully paid by trainees themselves;
- Trainee met 75% attendance requirement; and
- Trainee passed assessments (where applicable)
